Tour Summary

You will have the chance to witness the most interesting landmarks in historic Key West on this sightseeing tour that has been a tradition on this island paradise for over half a century. The Conch Train has been guiding tourists to witness the true Key West since 1958. You do not want to miss this Key West staple on your next vacation. This motorized train ride through the charming streets of this island community is one of the sunshine states most popular attractions. Our engineer guides and welcoming personnel have entertained over ten million passengers with the intriguing stories and legends of this coastal oasis.

The Conch Train is a tribute to Key Wests long lost railroad legacy. When Henry Flagler completed the rail line to Key West from the mainland in 1912, the railroad forever transformed this outlying island to a thriving town.

Join our knowledgeable conductor as he transports you back in time to remember a bygone era. Before Europeans first arrived on this remote isle, the indigenous residents of this region left the bones of their enemies bleach in the tropical sun of this island, earning it the nick name of Bone Island

This tropical paradise is now full of architectural treasures. This unique town is home to countless historic landmarks. You will learn all about famous residents, regular visitors, and local characters. Famous people who have called this coastal oasis home include naturalist John James Audubon, author Ernest Hemingway, and President Harry S. Truman.

From adventurous Spanish explorers who were the first Europeans to land in the Keys, to wreckers who salvaged ships destroyed on the reef, to industrious cigar barons, to notorious smugglers, and sponge harvesters, you will learn about the former residents of this Caribbean port town.

I have been to the Bahamas many times, but Conch Tour Train is one of my favorite trips! It includes everything that everyone should do here. As a Bahamas veteran, I can say only the best about this experience!

Thanks to the professional guides! I was a bit worried about kayaking because I had never done it before, but the instructions were great and I had such a good time!
