Not only is a spectacular sea plane excursion a fantastic method of viewing the gorgeous seascapes of this region from a truly unique perspective, but it is a much more expedient way to reach the Dry Tortugas, which are sixty-eight miles away from Key West. You will reach the Dry Tortugas National Park must more quickly than while riding in a boat; the flight on the seaplane is an adventure unto itself. If you would like to enjoy a much more thrilling and exclusive tour to the Dry Tortugas, and spend even more time at this remote pristine stretch of seven small isles, our Sea Plane Excursion is for you.
There is not a better method of visiting this gorgeous string of islands. While flying on our planes, each passenger enjoys an eagles eye view from a window seat. You can listen to your captains description and narration about the local sights from your headset. This exhilarating sightseeing flight is a complete tour unto itself. The sea plane will remain at a low altitude of approximately five hundred feet, allowing you to have a great view of the islands, reefs, and other sights between Key West and the Tortugas. You will actually be able to recognize species like rays and sharks swimming in the clear waters of the flats. You will also pass over a coral atoll known as the Marquesas Islands. You will also recognize the various wrecks, including the Patricia, a sunken World War II destroyer.
Be sure to bring along your camera to take some spectacular aerial shots of Fort Jefferson as we approach Garden Key in the Dry Tortugas. Youll definitely have a unique perspective of this Nineteenth Century brick coastal fortress constructed to defend the shipping lanes to the Gulf of Mexico. Once you land, you will have an opportunity to enjoy a guided tour this historic structure.
After touring the fort, you can enjoy some of the best snorkeling in the region. We will provide our clients with snorkeling gear and complimentary beverages. If you would like to bring along a lunch or snacks, the sea plane is equipped with coolers.
If you are an avid bird watching enthusiast, the Dry Tortugas are home to over two hundred different avian species, depending on the season. Spring and summer are the best seasons for bird-watching.

years ago I took the seaplanes out to the Dry Tortugas and I was very excited to hear about their return. These new seaplanes are more comfortable than the old ones and the whole trip is more comprehensive. Had a great time, thank you very much!
Wow wow wow!!! I can't imagine a better way to go see the amazing incredible Dry Tortugas! Thanks so much for the great time! Getting out to the Tortugas took only about half an hour and we were completely entertained the entire time! We did the half day trip leaving at 8AM
