Key West’s pride and joy is the only living reef in North America that lies just seven miles off our shores and is an excellent site for diving. The sea life community in this reef is extremely diverse with tropical fish, corals, sponges, snails, jellyfish, anemones, crabs, lobsters, rays, sea turtles, nurse sharks, and many others. This reef also features over 100 coral species and hundreds of species of fish. Dive under the surface of the clear water and find serene and magical scenery with corals and large schools of tropical fish. Float above one of the many shipwrecks that lie on the ocean floor around the Keys. They, too, have become home to a variety of sea creatures. |
