The Pride of Key West is a splendid motorized glass-bottom catamaran that will transport you out to witness the amazing coral gardens off the coast of this island paradise. You will have the opportunity to see some truly rare aquatic sights through the large viewing window in the hull of this state-of-the-art vessel; the Florida Keys are home to the only living coral reef in the continental United States. This incredible reef habitat is also the only living coral reef on the eastern side of North America. The consistent water temperature of this region, aided by the flow of warm water from the Gulf Stream, provides the perfect conditions for coral growth. This teeming undersea environment is home to a dazzling array of soft and hard corals as well as variegated sponges. You will be awestruck by the assortment of colors, textures and shapes of this undersea growth. This thriving coral habitat is home to a marvelous array of tropical fish. You will be amazed by the variety and brilliant kaleidoscope of hues in this undersea wonderland. Because of the wide viewing window and crystal-clear water of this region, you will see every detail of the creatures that inhabit this reef. Other species that you may see include crustaceans, mollusks, sharks, rays, and sea turtles, among others.

You hear a lot about the Key West coral reef. I was not about to go snorkeling to see it but this was the perfect alternative! You get to stay dry the whole time and no need to learn how to use a snorkel. Great two hours spent aboard the Pride of Key West
