If you have never tried light tackle fishing in the teeming waters surrounding Key West, you do not know what you are missing. The bountiful saltwater flats, abundant coral reefs, and many wreck habitats of this region provide plenty of excellent inshore fishing spots to cast light tackle spinning rods for fighting game fish. There is a bounty of trophy species just a short trip from Key West Harbor. If you are interested in fishing for tarpon, Captain Rob Delph can even transport you to the deepwater channels in the harbor to catch some large tarpon on cut bait. These excellent battlers can also be chased in the saltwater flats. If you havent been tarpon angling before, you do not want to miss your chance at hooking one of these monsters that always put up an excellent battle. With over two decades of experience fishing the abundant waters of this area, Captain Rob Delph will guide you t the finest spots according to the current weather and tidal conditions and season.

In addition to tarpon, you can also fish for species like permit, redfish, bonefish, barracuda, and sharks inshore. You can also catch some jacks or snapper at the wrecks. Captain Delphs thirty-one foot center console Sea Vee has the flexibility to maneuver in the shallows and along reefs as well as head offshore to chase dolphin, wahoo, blackfin tuna, marlin, and sailfish in the deeper waters of the Gulf Stream. You could even split a full day charter between some deep sea trolling and some in shore light tackle action.

We came down specifically for tarpon fishing, so we were told Capt Delph and his boat would be best for this! Our first trip with Capt Delph was so great that we booked with him again 2 days later! thanks!
